About Me

Andreas is a visual storyteller residing in Asmat, South Papua, specializing in capturing the essence of the region through photography and videography. His experience living and working with the Asmat indigenous people in the Sawa Erma area provides him with a unique perspective on Asmat culture.

Since 2023, Andreas has been working at the Asmat Museum of Culture and Progress as the coordinator of the Research and Archival Department. Despite facing many challenges, this role has sparked his  interest in further researching Asmat culture through colonial-era archives.
